To the weary, misused; the abandoned and used I have a great message for you SUNDAY IS COMING!! The church of God meets on Sunday morning’s for several reasons. The early church met on Sunday mornings to commemorate and honor the resurrection of Christ which is widely accepted as happening very early on the first day of the week which was a Sunday. There are several scriptures that bear witness to the church meeting on Sundays; Acts 20:7 and 1 Cor. 16:2 bear testimony to this being a day in which the faithful gathered. We find the Apostle John in Revelation 1:10 being found in the Spirit on the “Lord’s day” which is accepted as being the believers day to worship.
SO SUNDAY is our day!! Sunday is the day we worship and honor the Lord as the church! Sunday is the day that the Lord emerged victorious from the grave. Jesus defeated the darkness and thus the enemy who brought sin to all mankind. Sin creates within us all a feeling of abandonment, misuse, weariness and being abused! Sin causes this but Sunday morning is a symbol of feedom from SIn and Death. Jesus arose from the dead and we who believe are freed from the condemnation of sin.
Some say that Sunday mornnings are not important. I can meet on Wed. Friday or Sat and get the same out of it.. Yes it is true Jesus is Lord of all space and time and the Lord can save on any day of the week, plus we know that some work schedules prevent you from sacrificing time on Sundays; BUT there has to be something said for SUNDAY mornings!! Sunday is the day that death was defeated and our victory was won.
We celebrate memorials of many events on the day they occurred to help us remember. Sept. 11th will always be a hsitorical reminder of tragedy and loss. For the follower of Jesus; Sunday is the day of Liberation and Hope….
Again I say; to the weary, misused, abandoned, abused: SUNDAYS COMING! hang in there faith family we will gather soon to celebrate His Work and our bolster our faith!! Sunday’s Coming. Invite someone with you to church this Sunday moring…
